Organic Chemistry I (160:335), FALL 2009

Two sections of Organic Chemistry (335) will be taught in fall 2009:

Section 01 will be taught by Dr. Huskey (lecture and recitation). The lectures meet TTh 11:30-12:50 in Smith 220, and the recitation period is M 2:30-3:50, in Conklin 100. Also see the web page for section 01.

Section 02 will be taught by Dr. Galoppini, with Dr. Chaffee running the recitation. The lectures meet TTh 11:30-12:50 in Ackerson 123, and the recitation period is W 1:00-2:20, in Conklin 100. Near the end of August, online material for section 02 will be available at the campus Blackboard site.

The textbook (Carey) is the same as the one used last year. The local bookstores will sell the text bundled with a free copy of the solutions manual. The same textbook will be used for both sections of 335:

Carey, Organic Chemistry, 7th ed. (2008), and the accompanying Student Solutions Manual, (McGraw-Hill). A small molecular-model kit, available at the bookstore, is also highly recommended.
